For instance, employees who go on strike may do so because they bond to some moral principles or instrinsic motivation or because they would like to look for a salary increase or unessential motivation (Brophy, 1998). unalienable motivation is concerned with motives based on ones experience internal needs and desires while extrinsic motivat ion involves positive or negative external rewards that affect behavior (Brophy, 1998). Another aspect that may differ the extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation is the fact that in extrinsic motivation, it focuses people on the reward instead of the process while this is not the case in intrinsic motivation (Morris et.al. , 2005).Thats why if the rewards are stopped, the action/behavior also will (Morris et. al. , 2005).
